Personal Bio:
I grew up eating pizza and beefs while watching the Chicago Bulls. Most of my family is still feasting on pizza in Gino's East and Portillo's, while I enjoy Cincinnati's culinary delights like Skyline Chili :) I consider myself to be intellectually curious and pragmatically wacky. I love hula hooping, ice skating, rock climbing, and traveling. Something unique about me: I travel the world taking photos of doorways (see photos above from Venice).
Professional Goals:
I am a 3rd year doctoral student in Educational Studies at the University of Cincinnati. My research interests focus on the relational context of teaching and learning, as well as alternative modes of teaching and learning such as game-based learning (I heart games!). I have presented my work at international conferences (Netherlands, England, and Canada).
Goals for this course:
On behalf of the CI247 instructor team, we hope "you leave this class feeling more confident about your ability to teach in today's tech-savvy world. We also expect to learn a lot from our work together: your reflections, articles reviews, etc. There are too many daily advances in this field for us to even come close to knowing it all. We very much look forward to adding new knowledge to our own database of tech know-how."
